Job Summary

 

We are currently seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Pet Sitter/Dog Walker to join our award-winning, growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves animals and enjoys working outdoors, rain or shine. No prior professional experience is required—just a genuine love for animals and a commitment to learning, as full training will be provided, including pet handling, care, welfare, pet first aid, and behaviour.

Working Hours

 

• Average of 6–10 hours per week

• 3/4 days per week (Monday-Friday) with weekend shifts on a rota basis

• Availability required for occasional early mornings, late evenings, and bank holidays during peak times

• Flexibility to accommodate changing client schedules

Key Responsibilities

 

Dog Walker Duties 

 

Expected duties, but not limited to;

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds in all weather conditions

• Walk multiple dogs at once (maximum of 3-4 per dog walker for group walks)

• Ensure dogs are safely transported using pet seatbelts (provided)

• Pick up and dispose of pet waste appropriately

• Provide fresh water and food as needed after walks

• Monitor for any signs of injury or abnormal behaviour and report as needed

• Schedule walks according to client preferences

• Communicate with clients via WhatsApp, sharing updates, photos, and videos

 

Pet Sitter Duties

 

Expected duties, but not limited to;

• Conduct “Meet and Greets” with clients to gather pet care instructions

• Follow feeding, care, and medication instructions precisely

• Clean litter trays, crates, or any messes made by pets

• Play with and exercise pets to promote mental and physical wellbeing

• Monitor pets for health issues or behavioural changes

• Contact emergency vet services if necessary

• Tidy up pet-related messes (pet hair, dander, etc.) as requested

• Communicate promptly with clients and manager, including photo and video updates

What We’re Looking For:

 

• A kind and caring nature with a genuine love for animals

• Punctual, reliable, and responsible

• Comfortable working independently

• Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of clients and pets

• Full, clean driver’s license and access to a car suitable for transporting dogs

• Willingness to learn about various types of pet care

• Strong communication skills

• Basic Excel skills, and internet access for Pet Scheduling Software
